I missed a few questions, so here’s 24-27.

Day 24 - The stupidest argument/comment you’ve heard about gay people or an LGBT issue.

Anything anti-gay is stupid, from the “They’ll turn our children gay!” to the “All they do is have sex and spread AIDS!” argument.


Day 25 - The LGBT slur you hate most or if you’ve taken back a slur and used it as a definition, ie queer or fag.  

Actually the LGBT slurs don’t really bother me on their own – in fact they’re quite hilarious. I mean, “ass bandit”? Really, who comes up with this?

Whatever the word, it’s the intention that spins it in a way to please or hurt. You can call me queer because it’s a reclaimed word used to represent a movement, a community, and sexuality. You cannot call me queer if your definition of the term is skewed.

I think the worse I’ve been called has been “filth”.  There’s really no way to put that in a more appealing light.


Day 26 - Your favorite gay joke (we all need to laugh at ourselves)

I couldn’t find any really good ones, but I found this one:

A woman walks into her doctor’s office and says “Doctor, I have this terrible rash.” She lifts up her sweater to reveal a large ‘M’ shaped rash. The doctor replies, “Now that is the strangest rash I’ve ever seen.” The woman explains, “Well my boyfriend goes to Michigan and refuses to take off his letter sweater when we make love.” The doctor shrugs her shoulders, prescribes some lotion and sends the woman on her way.


The next day another woman comes in with a very similar rash. “How did you get that?” the doctor asks. “My boyfriend goes to MIT and he refuses to take his letter sweater off when we make love,” she says. The doctor prescribes some lotion and sends the young lady on her way.


The third day another young woman comes into the doctor’s office and she too has a big rash in the shape of an ‘M’ on her chest. “Let me guess,” the doctor says. “Your boyfriend goes to Maryland?” “No,” the patient replies, “My girlfriend goes to Wellesley.”


Day 27 - Your favorite LGBT blog/tumblr/site.

I don’t know any, have any awesome suggestions?

Day 21 - Political LGBT issue that is closest to you or affects you most.

Anything that tries to take away my rights is an issue that affects me. Which is the case with most “issues”.  I think the most recent LGBT issue is over in Sweden, dealing with how the government is requiring that trans people undergo sterilization. Another is the Canadian airlines refusing trans people. What utter nonsense…

Day 19 - Butch or Femme?

This seems like a very narrow question… I like who I like, whether they wear their hair up or down, kept long or short;  if they like trudging around in old baggy jeans or buying a weekly dress; perhaps they enjoy painting their nails, or getting them dirty; whether they’re tall or short, dainty or clumsy. Man, Woman, or OTHER! Why should these traits define you? Be proud of who you are, but do not allow yourself to be defined by such trivial things. Butch or Femme? I want your name not your stereotype.

Day 18 - Something about the LGBTQ community you don’t understand or have a question about.

Why are so many LGBQ’s trying to separate from T’s? It makes no sense – transsexual rights is practically the epitome of the gay rights movement! Once you’ve won that, you’ve won it all, and pushing them away – for whatever reason – is simply ridiculous.

Bigotry within the gay rights community is simply ridiculous.

Aren’t we fighting for human rights?
