For the follower who adores owls, here’s one in a party hat.
“For those of you that are wondering, this is Edna and she is my Barn owl. I try not to think of her as a ‘pet’ as she is a bird of prey and not really a domesticated bird despite being super friendly. She lives with me and I take her to the farm where I work every day so that I can fly her (loose) in the fields. She loves flying and having been around people since she was 10 weeks, loves people too. She is tethered in the photo. That’s not only for ease so I can pick her up to move her, but also so she does not damage her important wing feathers. If she did that she wouldn’t be able to fly. It’s very common practice in falconry. If any one has any questions I’m happy to answer them :)”
